Seedbox Discussions Has anyone tried to build their own Seedbox?

As the title says, has anyone here tired to build their own seedbox/torrentbox? What were the results?

 

It is very easy if you use a script like seedboxfromscratch. You should try with a cheap kimsufi server and see it as a good opportunity to learn! This is really not that hard with a script like the one I mentionned.

By from scratch I meant something like a home server with a Raspberry Pi... $15 is a month is what I currently pay and I was just wondering if building my own Seedbox would be cheaper in the long run. My speeds would obviously be significantly lower but I'd be able to upload 24/7 for free.

 

I used to use an old pentium 200MhZ computer installed ubuntu and rtorrent cost me nothing as it was all old stuff I had sitting around
