General Discussion Should Western Countries try to Intervene in Islamic laws?

anyway..Interfering in other people's problems/wars ( no matter how good the intention is) creates huge resentment from that country that are being helped. Why can't we just not interfere for once and just let countries or people do what they want to do in their own places? I think that way, we would avoid the vitriol/the dislike and the hatred that so many people /countries heap on those that help? the US most especially should stop helping out these war ravaged countries because it really generates so much resentment and hate against the US.

 

Interfering means that they will fight the change. They first need to see that the Western world lives better than them and make the changes themselves.

 

The problem here is that those people are too damn dumb... they do not have access to almost any education and information, their culture's based on religion, and look where religion got us - 2000years of wars. Look at the past 3-4 years or so... they are starting to see that the world is much bigger than one country... easily but surely the regimes will fall but, sadly the ones who are coming to help them now will take their wealth and then leave them alone (Afghanistan anyone?), this is some kind of 'advanced, strategic colonialism'.

You really don't know anything about the Mid-East do you? The entirety of the Mid-East is well aware of the existence of the rest of the world, have been since about the time Western nations started pummeling them to gain control of Jerusalem and the Nine Crusades that followed.

Do you have any idea who put those regimes in place? We did. Through international conflict, covert operations, ect... we capitulated coups and revolutions in nearly all Mid-East nations, which lead to the placement of Socialist/Communist dictators.

As far as blaming the past 2000 years on religion alone...that's very naive and stereotypical of you. To date Atheism has killed me innocent lives than all the world's religions combined, the last four major worldwide conflicts we're brought on by dictators or nation's lead by political ideology, not religion.

Fascism/Nazism (Second World War)
Marxism/Socialism (Cold War, Russian Revolution of 1917 which led to the establishment of Bolshevik controlled Soviet Union)
Stalinism/Communism (Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom)
Maoism (Korea War)

They aren't religious ideologies, they're political ideals. You can't control a nation that has a religious base and allows religious worship, it provides a varying state of belief outside of what the State, Party or National Leader enforces.

Libya, Yemen, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Bahrain, Sudan, ect... all places where major uprisings or conflicts have occurred within the past five years, at the same time each nation is lead by a section of the Ba'ath Party (Arab Socialists) and has been since the 1950's, when the Western sphere of influence expanded the entire Mid-East and was followed by the Soviet sphere, which was much more equitable.

As far as Iran, we built that monster on our own with any help from the Soviets. You think what we've been involved in the past 70+ years has been "religious" influenced...then are you in for a huge surprise when things get kicked-off with Iran, which is the only truly religiously ruled Mid-East country, which is now being trained and supported by the former Soviet Union. Thanks to the US capitulated coup against Mosaddegh, the placement of the US-backed Shah, and the eventually collapse of the US supported regime leading to the power seize of Iran by Ayatollah Khomeini, who has for the past 40 years fed the Iranian People on a steady diet of Anti-Westernism and Religious Zealotism with a zeal so high for the death of the Western World that it would make Hitler, Stalin and Mao blush at the amount of blood these people are willing to shed, all because of US Imperialism trying to enforce Western ideals, then leaving the region for the Soviets to pick-over and setup shop to really f*ck us over later on down the road.


Ever considered that maybe the last 2000 years of war has been brought on by the egotistical craving of land mass and power of those nations that already have enough as it is? You really think the Roman's conquered the world out of some sort of religious ideal? That the British colonized the world out of some sort of religious ideal? That the United States is invading and occupying the world wholesale is out of some sort of religious ideal?

Do I even need to go into Sino-Soviet history and establishment of Fascist/Communist regimes in the Far East?

 

Ok, you are right sir, damn you know this thing better, but my point was that as the world moves forward they remain a bit behind... i mean i do not think any man that is educated and is not crazy will tell you that he will blow himself up for god or put a rifle in a kids hand and tell him to shoot.

Still i think we have nothing to do in their country(s)... we need to let them alone because is going to get messy !
