Seedbox Discussions Had enough of 100TBh... DTS or Chamura?

Dlizzle, it is ironic, what is true for you was also our story, if it wasn't for 100TBh, there wouldn't be a Chmuranet.

When starting Chmuranet over a year ago, one of our inspirations was 100TBh, their support was so bad, and they didn't have the technical chops to keep their service running smoothly. We had the hubris to believe we could do better, offer a better product - that is what Chmuranet is: a bunch of seedbox veterans got together and said, OK, what would your ideal seedbox service be?

The conversation went something like this:

Well it wouldn't be as expensive as a dedicated service, so it has to be a VPS service.

Ya, ya, Unmetered, and 1Gbps of course. Who wants to watch the clock?

And to get rid of disk issues, eliminate those disk slow downs, the contention -
we'll give each user their own honking 2TB disk.

Root permission of course. It is the guy's server, let him do what he wants.

Make it anonymous, and accent the P, the Private in VPS. Nobody is really doing that.

But no more flaky white boxes, we'll build the machines ourselves, and co-locate instead of leasing.

That means we can tune the living shit out of it. And we'll install all the software needed for a kick ass box, and tweak that too.

And, we'll offer competent, courteous and quick support, gads can you believe the support that 100TBh offers?

Need to customize the server too, no more SB034 as user98. Your own IP and hostname.

That was the start of it, Chmuranet, and a year on we've learned alot of lessons, from logistics, to peering, to who our members are. We are now on version four of our Virtual Machine template, and growing, adding at least a server a month.

And this is why we have the single package, if we had multiple packages, it wouldn't be our ideal. Single focus.

I do think Chmuranet is a bit expensive tough. I have the following offer:
